Cascade Middle School's music department received a generous donation from the Soroptimist International Club of Sedro-Woolley. The donation of $500 was used to purchase a much-needed drum for the program.
Thanks to the Soroptimist International Club's generosity, the middle school's music program can continue to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians. This is an investment in the future of our students and the cultural richness of the Sedro-Woolley community.
We are incredibly thankful for the Soroptimist Club's commitment to enriching the lives of our students.

GRACIE SITTON has been named the May Soroptimist CTE Student of the month. Gracie is a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School.
She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, playing tennis and helping out with school events. She is currently Senior Class President and Main Editor for our yearbook. Gracie is a tennis player and has earned 2 letters.
CTE classes at SWHS have helped shape her future goals by teaching her to work hard, be a team player, and fight for the things that are important to fight for. Yearbook class has definitely been the main CTE class that has stuck with Gracie throughout high school, as sheβs learned how to stretch her creativity and really think outside the box and to try new ideas.
After high school, Gracie will be attending Western Washington University to obtain a Bachelorβs Degree in Elementary Education. Her goal is to be a Kindergarten Teacher one day. Congratulations, Gracie!

CHARLOTTE PRENDER has been named the May Soroptimist CTE Student of the month. Charlotte is a Senior at Sedro-Woolley High School.
She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, crocheting, and watching true crime shows. Charlotte loves helping people, and finds joy in making a difference in someone's life.
CTE classes at SWHS have helped shape her future goals by giving her a well-rounded educational experience. She was in American Sign Language, which helps her communicate with the deaf community. Child psychology gave her experience in working with children and learning about young mental development. As well as ceramics, which gave her a creative outlet.
After high school, Charlotte plans to attend Skagit Valley College to take her prerequisites, and will then transfer to Western Washington University to major in sociology or psychology. For a dream career, she is tossing around the idea of becoming a therapist, a social worker, or an elementary school psychologist. Congratulations, Charlotte!

JAMES WARNER has been named the April Soroptimist CTE Student of the month. James is a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School.
He enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, playing around with technology, building things with legos and playing basketball.

After high school, James will be attending Skagit Valley College (SVC). He will be studying graphic design with the hopes of working in the multimedia industry later on in life. Congratulations, James!

After high school, Meleny will be attending Skagit Valley College (SVC) to earn a 2-year transfer degree. While at SVC, she will be participating in the Mariachi Ensemble also known as the Mariachi Cardinals.
