The Foundations K program is a free, full-day early learning experience designed to support children in building confidence and readiness in:

✅ Motor skills
📍 Available at multiple Sedro-Woolley elementary schools
👶 For students not already enrolled in preschool or childcare
📝 A short screening helps determine eligibility
💙 Priority given to students with an identified need
Some families have been placed on a waitlist, but as applications are reviewed and spots open up, we’re continuing to place eligible students in the Foundations Kindergarten program for the 2025–2026 school year.
We encourage interested families to complete the screening process so we can fully review each application as space opens.

We know the back-to-school season can be a stressful time for families—and while our district isn’t able to provide school supplies for every student, we’re working hard with community partners to help fill the gap.
Join us for a fun, free evening filled with literacy-focused activities, essential resources, and community connection—all designed to support Sedro-Woolley families as we head into a new school year.

Is your child turning 5 between Sept. 1, 2025 – Aug. 31, 2026 and could benefit from an extra year of growth before kindergarten?
The Foundations K program is a free, full-day early learning experience designed to support children in building confidence and readiness in:
✅ Academic skills
✅ Social-emotional development
✅ Language
✅ Motor skills
📍 Available at multiple Sedro-Woolley elementary schools
👶 For students not already enrolled in preschool or childcare
📝 A short screening helps determine eligibility
💙 Priority given to students with an identified need
Some families have been placed on a waitlist, but as applications are reviewed and spots open up, we’re continuing to place eligible students in the Foundations Kindergarten program for the 2025–2026 school year.
We encourage interested families to complete the screening process so we can fully review each application as space opens.
