The Sedro-Woolley School District is proud to honor Brittny Dillon, 5th Grade English Language Arts teacher, as Evergreen Elementary School’s Outstanding Employee of the Year! Brittny's dedication, positivity, and tireless commitment to her students make her a truly deserving recipient of this honor. With 32 students in her homeroom—10 more than last year—plus around 30 in each of her other two classes, Brittny continues to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Despite her demanding workload, she remains positive, kind, and respectful to every student, going above and beyond to ensure their success. Her commitment extends well beyond the classroom. She takes work home nightly, spending countless hours grading, preparing lessons, and supporting her students. Even with a full and often challenging classroom, Brittny maintains structure, fosters a love for learning, and demonstrates unwavering dedication to her students' growth. In addition to her exceptional teaching, Brittny is a reliable leader at Evergreen Elementary. She is rarely absent and leaves thorough substitute plans when needed, ensuring continuity for her students. Her ability to manage a dynamic classroom with patience and professionalism is truly commendable. Kindergarten Registration for Big Lake, Clear Lake, Lyman, and Samish is on April 24 from 5–7 p.m. If your child turns 5 by August 31, 2025, make sure to attend! If you missed our recent event at Evergreen, Central, and Mary Purcell Elementary, please take a moment to visit your child's neighborhood school before the school year ends on June 13 to complete the registration packet. Registering is essential—it gives us the accurate student numbers we need to determine the right number of teachers for our incoming kindergarten class. Without these numbers, planning staffing levels becomes challenging, which can impact your child's learning experience.
