Abigail Gardner has been named Rotary Student of the Month for January. She is the daughter of Jerry and Megan Gardner of Sedro-Woolley. Abby maintains a 4.0 GPA while being actively involved in Sedro-Woolley High School. She has participated in Varsity Volleyball all 4 years (earning 4 letters), and Unified Basketball all 4 years, as well as Track and Field for 3 years (earning 3 letters). Abby is currently the Senior Class President and Co-President for National Honor Society. She received 7 Department awards as a Junior and will graduate as one of this year’s Valedictorians. Abby was named All Conference Honorable Mention in the 2023 sports season, and All Conference 2nd Team in the 2024 sports season. She was named Soroptimist Student of the Month for October 2024. Outside of school, Abby enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending SWHS sporting events, and volunteering at the Skagit Valley Humane Society as a cat socializer. Abby currently works at Starbucks and loves bonding over coffee with our ‘small town.’ She has played club volleyball for 9 years, and helps coach the Cascade Middle School team during the winter months. After graduation, Abby plans to attend Washington State University to major in business and marketing with a concentration in sports, and hopes to be the volleyball student manager while she is there. Congratulations, Abby!

Logan Roth has been named Rotary Student of the Month for January. He is the son of Nate and Ami Roth of Sedro-Woolley. Logan maintains a 3.87 GPA while being actively involved in Sedro-Woolley High School. He has participated in 4 years of Varsity Soccer, 3 years of Varsity Basketball and 2 years of Varsity Football. During his time on the soccer team, Logan was awarded the All Conference honor and placed 2nd as MVP his junior year, as well as being a Team Captain. During his time on the basketball team, Logan was named All Conference Honorable Mention, as well as being Team Captain. During his time on the football team, Logan was named 1st Team All Conference, and won the Fall Sports Character and Leadership Award, as well as being a Team Captain. Logan is a member of National Honor Society (3 years) and is a Varsity Band member (2 years). Logan is a full time Running Start Student and will be obtaining a transfer degree this June upon graduation from SWHS. Outside of school, Logan enjoys coaching football and basketball for our Sedro-Woolley youth programs. You can find him snowboarding with his girlfriend, hunting with his grandpa, and bowling with his friends. After graduation, Logan plans to attend the University of Arizona, majoring in mechanical engineering. He plans to try out for the soccer team, and will later on pursue a career as a biomechanical engineer or a sports engineer. Congratulations, Logan!

🌟 Be Intentional So Others Notice! 🦬💖 🌟 Today at Evergreen STEM Elementary, fourth-grade students and teachers came together to celebrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in an inspiring way! 🎉 Evergreen fourth graders have been embracing SEL practices all year, using the bison as their symbol—"Be Intentional So Others Notice." From managing emotions to working together and showing kindness, students have been learning skills that will help them grow into compassionate and resilient individuals. As part of this initiative, fourth-grade teachers teamed up with Kim Gameroz of Selebrate Good Times to take on an SEL challenge, raising awareness about the importance of emotional intelligence in education. 💕 📸 Check the group photo in front of the bison mural—a daily reminder for students to be intentional and make a difference!
