David Bricka has been awarded the WASA Community Leadership Award for his outstanding service and commitment to the Sedro-Woolley community. David's deep-rooted connection to the Sedro-Woolley School District spans over 60 years, beginning when his father was appointed principal at Sedro-Woolley High School. A proud alumnus, David graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School (SWHS) in 1977 and has remained a steadfast supporter ever since.
David is well-known for his volunteer work at various school events. He also plays a pivotal role in recognizing student excellence through the annual George C. Bricka Jr. Excellence Award, which he interviews and selects recipients for. His commitment to supporting and uplifting students is evident as he seeks to honor those who strive to make a positive impact on the world.
David collaborates with students involved in clubs at the high school, helping them find volunteer opportunities at County Meadow Village. His efforts to foster a spirit of community service and leadership among students make him a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
