Today is the first day of the 2025–2026 school year for first through 12th grade students! Kindergarteners will join us on Friday.

Start times:
Cascade Middle School: 7:40 a.m.
Sedro-Woolley High School: 7:55 a.m.
State Street High School: 8 a.m.
All seven elementary schools: 9:25 a.m.

Late-start Wednesdays begin this week to give our staff time for professional learning and collaboration. On those days, schools start one hour later than usual (8:40, 8:55, 9:00, and 10:25 a.m.). There will be no late start on November 5, November 26, or June 10—mark your calendars now!

The Foundations K program is a free, full-day early learning experience designed to support children in building confidence and readiness in: ✅ Academic skills ✅ Social-emotional development ✅ Language ✅ Motor skills 📍 Available at multiple Sedro-Woolley elementary schools 👶 For students not already enrolled in preschool or childcare 📝 A short screening helps determine eligibility 💙 Priority given to students with an identified need Some families have been placed on a waitlist, but as applications are reviewed and spots open up, we’re continuing to place eligible students in the Foundations Kindergarten program for the 2025–2026 school year.
