Is your child turning 5 between Sept. 1, 2025 – Aug. 31, 2026 and could benefit from an extra year of growth before kindergarten? The Foundations K program is a free, full-day early learning experience designed to support children in building confidence and readiness in: ✅ Academic skills ✅ Social-emotional development ✅ Language ✅ Motor skills 📍 Available at multiple Sedro-Woolley elementary schools 👶 For students not already enrolled in preschool or childcare 📝 A short screening helps determine eligibility 💙 Priority given to students with an identified need Some families have been placed on a waitlist, but as applications are reviewed and spots open up, we’re continuing to place eligible students in the Foundations Kindergarten program for the 2025–2026 school year. Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Sedro-Woolley is home to many veterans and military families, and we recognize the deep impact this day holds for our community. There is no school today as we reflect on their courage, dedication, and the freedoms they gave their lives to protect. We are forever grateful.
