The district will offer free summer meals starting next week at Cascade Middle School and Mary Purcell Elementary School. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday, July 29 to August 15. Breakfast will be served from 9–9:30 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals must be consumed on site. Anyone age 18 or younger may come to eat free of charge. The school board will meet on June 26, 2024 for their regularly scheduled board meeting. The board will not take action on the 2024-2025 budget on June 26th. They will hold a public meeting for the presentation of the proposed 2024-2025 budget in July. They will also hold a public hearing on the proposed budget and could take action in a follow-up meeting in July. Public notice and additional information will be provided per the statutory requirements.

As a reward for being helpful citizens and completing their sixth-grade jobs, the students engaged in various fun activities including pickleball, corn hole, pool, golf simulations, and darts.
