Cascade Middle School will host its annual Turkey Trot TODAY, November 27, at 9:50 a.m.
A Turkey Trot is a fun run or walk event traditionally held around Thanksgiving, often on or just before Thanksgiving Day. The term "Turkey Trot" comes from the holiday's association with turkeys.
At Cascade Middle School, the Turkey Trot is a longstanding tradition for seventh and eighth graders and school staff. Itβs a festive event that provides an opportunity for the school community to celebrate the holiday spirit.

Carin, a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School, loves spending time with family, cooking, baking, and riding horses. ππͺ She is Secretary of the SWHS FFA and has been a Girl Scout for 10 years.
π± CTE classes at SWHS have guided Carin to dive deeper into fields of interest, applying her knowledge toward future goals. After graduation, she plans to attend Washington State University to pursue a Doctorate in veterinary medicine.

Mason, a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School, enjoys time with family and friends, playing piano, snowboarding, and spending time with his puppy, Howie. πΎπΉ Over the years, Mason has played football, basketball, and track and field, while being involved in Teen Court Club, National Honor Society, and umpiring for Sedro-Woolley Little League, earning 40+ hours of community service.
π οΈ CTE classes at SWHS have equipped Mason with essential skills like leadership, time management, and critical thinking. After high school, he plans to attend a four-year university to earn a Bachelor's degree and pursue a career in law.

Abby, a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School, is all about volleyball! She has played on the Varsity Volleyball team for four years, lettered every season, and has participated in nine club volleyball seasons. She also referees middle school volleyball, is the Senior Class President, National Honor Society Co-President, and works at Starbucks, where she connects with the community through coffee. βπ
π CTE classes at SWHS have allowed Abby to explore various career paths, ultimately leading her to pursue animal science. After graduation, she plans to attend Colorado State University to major in Biology and eventually enter the veterinary field.

Landon, a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School, loves playing music and spending time with family and friends. As the owner of a videography business, Landon has created wedding videos, promos for small businesses, and sports coverage for SWHS. He serves as ASB President, is active in Orchestra, Jazz Band, Track and Field, and Cross Country, and held the role of Class President from his freshman to his junior year.
π₯ CTE classes at SWHS have been instrumental in helping Landon refine his passion for video production and media. He plans to attend a college with a strong media program and dreams of producing promos for college sports and businesses.

Carla, a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School, enjoys spending time with family and watching movies. At school, she is the Cultural Ambassador for ASB, Secretary for Latinos in Action, Social Media Manager for National Honor Society and Club Diversity, and Yearbook Editor. Carla is also part of the C.A.M.P. club, plays basketball and tennis, and continues to inspire as an active member of her community.
π CTE classes at SWHS have fueled Carla's passion for design and marketing, leading her to pursue a career as a graphic designer. After graduation, Carla plans to attend a four-year university to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications and Design.
