Girls Basketball Coach Kenneth Crawford said it best:

Zoe Abbott has been named the December Sedro-Woolley Rotary Student of the Month. Zoe is the daughter of Greg and Angel Abbott of Sedro-Woolley.
Zoe maintains a 3.6 GPA while being actively involved in Sedro-Woolley High School. She is a member of our Varsity Volleyball team (4 years, lettering 1 year) as well as our Varsity Fastpitch team (3 years) and is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes club. She loves participating in school events like Homecoming, school dances, and attending home sporting events.
Outside of school, Zoe enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks with her mom, and most recently found a new hobby; doing her own nails. She volunteers at Central Elementary and is currently the assistant coach with our Cascade Middle School volleyball team. During the summer months, Zoe works at local farmers markets selling strawberries as well as holds a receptionist position for a local salon.
After graduation, Zoe plans on attending Evergreen Beauty College to specialize in hair coloring. She hopes to own her own salon one day. Congratulations Zoe!


Ernesto Vega Macedo has been named the December Sedro-Woolley Rotary Student of the Month.
Ernesto is the son of Ernesto and Maria Vega of Sedro-Woolley.
Ernesto maintains a 3.83 GPA while being actively involved in Sedro-Woolley High School. He has earned many Department Awards including English, Math, Physical Education and American Sign Language, as well as a few Student of the Month awards. Ernesto is on Honor Roll and is a member of Latinos Unidos club. Last school year, he had the opportunity to present a program called S.I.F.T. to the Sedro-Woolley School Board. S.I.F.T. is a program where students learn how to spot and recognize misinformation online.
Outside of school, Ernesto enjoys spending time with his family and friends, which includes playing games with his cousins! He currently works at Olive Garden as a busser and a to-go specialist, and has previous work experience in labor work and welding.
After graduation, Ernesto plans to go into an apprenticeship with Matrix Service as a pipefitter. He is also considering attending Bellingham Technical College to study welding. Congratulations Ernesto!
