Collaboration

All of our instructional staff work together in teams to develop better lessons and support all students learning at high levels. Teachers and support staff meet regularly to create common lessons, review student learning data and build common assessments to assure that all students are successful. 

Common Core Curriculum

All students receive instruction based on high-quality consistent instructional resources. All teachers are provided with in-depth training and ongoing support in using these materials to best support student learning. We have upgraded our K-6 reading, K-8 math and 4-8 social studies programs as well as revising our 9-12 English courses and advanced algebra. A comprehensive curriculum guide has been published on our website.       

Quality Instruction - In Every Classroom, Every Day

Our district provides support for teachers to work together to become better at teaching kids. The focus of our efforts is on helping us improve our skills at teaching. We are using a system that is based on what research shows are effective ways to teach kids. Our goal is to understand these methods and to put them into practice in our classrooms. Teachers are learning strategies of effective teaching, watching other teachers teach and working together as learners to help each other improve.
