Choice Transfer
Attending Sedro-Woolley Schools if You Live Outside the District
If your family lives outside the Sedro-Woolley School District, you must complete the Choice Transfer process before your student can be accepted into one of our schools.
You may start the registration process online, but final approval depends on completing the Choice Transfer process.
What Is a Choice Transfer?
A Choice Transfer allows a student to attend school in a district other than where they live.
Step 1: You must ask your home (resident) school district to release your student.
Step 2: Your transfer request will be reviewed by both your home district and Sedro-Woolley School District.
Step 3: Once both districts approve the request, your student can be enrolled in Sedro-Woolley schools.
How to Submit a Choice Transfer Request
Many Washington school districts use the Choice Transfer Request Portal (CTRP). This online system is available anytime and makes it easy to send your request.

If your school district does not use the portal, you can use one of the forms below:
Please complete and submit the form to both your resident district and the Sedro-Woolley School District.
