She really enjoyed the classes and learned a lot about injuries and patient care. After graduation, Tianna will continue being active in the McLean Road Fire Department and become an EMT. She will then head down south and join a fire department that will send her through the paramedicine courses at Central Washington University, and then become a full time firefighter.

Nathaniel Souza has been named the Soroptimist International Club of Sedro-Woolley’s Career & Technical Education Student of the Month for May 2025. Nathaniel, the son of Jason and Amy Souza, is a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School. Nate is an Eagle Scout that loves to work on cars, weld, and in general work with his hands. He stays busy playing sports. He has played golf all four years of high school, football for two years. He is an active member of National Honor Society, and has participated in the Veterinary Science and Ag Mechanics teams through FFA. Nate found his passion for working on cars when he enrolled in Beginning Auto Mechanics his Freshman year. He has taken an automotive class almost every year since, and even contemplated a career in the automotive industry. Nate credits all the CTE classes for helping him find new hobbies; finding ways to earn money in his free time; and giving him the opportunity to work with people and acquire skills that he may never have learned without CTE classes. The Animal Science class played a key role in shaping what Nate wants for his future. He has always enjoyed animals, and the course gave him the ability to recognize his true passion. He appreciates that he was given hands-on experience through the dissecting of different systems of animals, and was able to learn how all the systems work and fit together. Nate looks forward to learning more about different animals and how he can help keep them healthy! He will be attending Washington State University with a pursuit of a degree in Animal Science through their Pre-Vet track.
