Hello! My name is Kari Hollands. I am a true Washingtonian as I have lived here and only here all my life. I grew up in the Edmonds area but my husband and I moved to the valley about 25 years ago. We believe this is the best place ever to live!
I love lemon meringue pie (dark chocolate is my ultimate favorite though) and sitting on our dock on a warm summer day. I have an awesome family that consists of my husband, three sons, and a daughter. My daughter is a sophomore at SWHS and my sons are all SWHS graduates. I love to read and I try to read at least 3 books a month. Sometimes I cheat and use audiobooks!
I attended Western Washington University for my BA in Psychology. Later in my life, I obtained my Masters in Business and School Counseling. I have worked in education since 2011. I have my ESA School Counselor and CTE Teaching Certification. Before education, I worked in finance for over 20 years as a branch manager and loan originator.
My passion is to support children and their families on their way to their future, whatever that might look like for them. I really enjoy school counseling, working with students and their families, and just being there to help students cross the finish line and supporting their life challenges. I feel blessed to be here at Sedro-Woolley High School and am looking forward to a great year. Go Cubs!
