• SWSD students can get a Central Skagit Library card online. This is how you can access Bookflix, etc. while school is "quarantined".

The Central Skagit Library District is glad to provide services during this unprecedented crisis. However, once this crisis has passed and library services resume, all online registrants will have to provide proof of eligibility to keep library cards active. Library administration is working out a way that this can be done remotely if visiting the library in person is a hardship. Those who do not live in a library taxing district in Washington are ineligible for free library cards and to continue providing services would be considered a gifting of public funds by the Washington State Auditor's Office. Some exceptions include teachers/faculty and students in the Sedro-Woolley School District. For now, though, access to digital resources will continue for online registrants.

Patrons will have instant access to the online resources, which includes the Scholastic Suite (TrueFlix, FreedomFlix, and ScienceFlix), Hoopla, Washington Anytime Library, and a ton more. The library was also granted a free subscription to Tumblebooks until August 31st. See the Central Skagit Library Links page located in the left column for quick access.
