    Our goals for this year are:

    2016 - 2017 Building Goals

     

    Reading: 90% of students will be reading on grade level by the end of 3rd grade as measured by state and district assessments. We will remain committed with our adopted curriculum and teaching it with fidelity. 

    Math: Math proficiency, as measured by state and district assessments, will increase by 7% or the state minimum, whichever is higher each year. We will remain committed with our adopted curriculum and teaching it with fidelity.We will use progress monitoring tools to help meet student achievement goals. 

     

    Writing: Writing proficiency, as measured by state and district assessments. We will have high expectations for written assignments and will work as a building team to develop standards for student work.

     

    Quality Instruction:

    Ø Professional Learning Community: Committed to working collaboratively in ongoing processes of collective inquiry in order to achieve better results for our students. 

    Ø Targeted Interventions: Committed to working together to provide needed support for our students. Using our workshop/intervention time wisely to provide support for students throughout the classroom.

    Ø Learning Walks: Committed to our SMART Goal Worksheet and Mary Purcell’s Action Plan.

    Ø Time on Task: Maximizing our instructional time and student engagement with content.

     

    Classroom walk-throughs: Principal will be visible throughout the building and participating in classroom discussions, lessons, and activities.
