Welcome to sixth grade at Lyman!
Here is a little about me. This will be my third year at Lyman, and twentieth year of teaching. From 2002 to 2007, I taught at Evergreen Elementary School and Cascade Middle School in Sedro-Woolley. Before that, my family and I were at Yanbu International School in Saudi Arabia. I taught sixth grade there for a year, and high-school English for three years. My wife was the school nurse. Our three kids went to school there, too. Living in Arabia was fun, interesting, and sometimes scary. Now we are glad to be back home. Before going overseas, I taught fourth and fifth grade at Concrete Elementary, from 1990 to 1998. In the 1980’s, I worked for a bank. Before that, I was a kid!
My hobby is birding, or "bird-watching," as we used to say. If you see somebody birding around Lyman, it’s probably me!
My wife Heidi is an emergency-room nurse at United General Hospital. Our two youngest kids go to Sedro-Woolley High School; they used to go to Lyman. We have three dogs, four goats, three chickens, and a number of goldfish. We live between Lyman and Hamilton.
