    Title Reading and Math

I was born and raised in Wisconsin-home of ice fishing, cheese and the Green Bay Packers.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1989 and was married the same year.  My husband and I have been in Sedro-Woolley for over 18  years now and we just love it here.  We are blessed to have 5 children-three still attending SWSD schools.  We are active in local sports, schools and church.  And, since we have children in three of Sedro-Woolley's schools, I am confident that you will see me around the community.
I look forward to a productive year of learning.  Some hints for helping students that I have found helpful are:
*set up a routine for homework (and YES, they have homework almost every night in math!)
*get the app for our online grading system for your phone and tablet-so easy to use!
    * www.khanacademy.org is a great website to help you and your student remember how to do math and science
*be involved, ask questions, let them know that their education is important
Let me know if I can help you.  My contact info is on the left.

7th and 8th Title Reading and Math

I teach 7th and 8th grade Title Reading and Math.  At Cascade Middle School, we support students who are struggling in reading and math, by giving them an extra class in that area.  Students’ needs are assessed and they are given additional instruction and time to learn those missing skills.  They are challenged with multiplication-timed tests, reading fluency tests, charting and graphing those results and use of computer games to reinforce those skills.  Once a student has mastered enough skills to reach a benchmark on the MAPS reading or math test and are passing their classes, we can exit them from Title.  Our ultimate goal is to see tests scores and understanding improve.
