Sedro-Woolley High School (home) Bienvenue la classe de franais! My name is Robert Slabodnik and I am your French teacher this year (and perhaps for the next three or four years) at S-WHS.
I have been teaching French here in the Skagit Valley for 15 years. This year marks my first for creating a blog that my French students can tap into to supplement their classroom learning. I am very excited about the possibilities that technology can lend to developing a forum for all learners of French.
I spent seven weeks in France this summer 2010; 3 with students and 4 with family. Being in France really rejuvenates my love of the language, the people and the cultural richness that France gives to the world.
My current French academic interest focuses on the separation of church and state in France. You can read my paper "France Unveiled" presented in Quebec City in 2005.

S-WHS learn a lot of French with the Accelerative Integrated Method or AIM. It is an immersion method from Canada and is an incredibly effective way to learn while having a lot of fun!
