What supplies do I need for my highschool student?

This will depend on the classes each student enrolls in.

What will learning look like for my child each day?

Depending on the age of your child the learning could look a little different. In general terms though, students will log on each morning to view lessons and work on activities and assignments prior to posting them for grading. There will be a minimum of weekly conversations and/or meeting appointments between students, their parents (if students are under 18), and teachers. This will include, but not be limited to, checking the weekly learning progress for each subject, reviewing assignments and grades, conversing about the pacing, workload, and any adjustments to be made.

Where are your offices and classrooms located if I need to reach you in person?

Offices for staff working with grades K-8 are located at the Administrative Annex building, 201 North Township Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.

Offices for staff serving students in grades 9-12 are located at State Street High School’s campus, 800 East State Street Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.

Will my child be sitting in front of the computer all day?

No, the intent is not to have students, regardless of the age, sitting in front of a computer for an entire school day. Students should be able to create a daily schedule that allows both initial learning on the computer and completing and turning in activities or assignments along with having time to be creative, active, and children. If you find you are needing assistance with creating and maintaining a schedule that works for you please mention this need to your teacher for support in this area.
