This project has three main partnerships: The Downtown Association, Perkins Family Farms, and Skagit Habitat for Humanity
Our CTE students get the learning opportunity and apply their knowledge to a large number of projects within the project. Geometry and Construction students will be building four houses with Skagit Habitat for Humanity just west of our main campus over the next 2 years. Our marketing students will be providing events and marketing around all three identities from concerts to social media events. Our Landscaping and Horticulture students will be preparing the site for construction and providing the final touches before families take ownership of their new home. Our Journalism students are helping to write posts and news articles about the projects. Food Production students will be providing meals for events such as The Concert to Support Habitat for Humanity.
Supervising Teachers: Jodi Jorgensen, Marketing - Dave Young and Doug Pass, Geometry and Construction - Wayne Ramsey, Landscaping - Karin Ovenell Carter, Foods Production - Anna Ferdinand, Journalism
