Ford Automotive Career Exploration is a partnership program between Ford Motor Company, Ford and Lincoln dealerships, and Sedro-Woolley School District. The program intends to raise awareness to increase interest in career opportunities within the automotive industry.
Students will obtain valuable knowledge of Ford/Lincoln vehicle systems by completing a Web-Based Training (WBT) system during their learning time. These courses are a subset of the same courses taken by our current dealership technicians. By completing these WBT courses, the student is one step closer towards a career in the automotive industry, beginning as an entry-level automotive service technician.
Frequently Asked Questions:What skills will I learn by completing the WBT courses?
New Model training, Electrical Systems, Steering and Suspension, and Brakes. Also, there is a course that provides information about the history of Ford Motor Company and their vision for future products, collision repair, and Ford specific service routines.
Do I get a certificate?
Certificates can be printed after each course is completed. If you choose to attend any one of Ford's Technical Career Entry Programs or accept a Ford/Lincoln dealership position, you will receive credit for those courses you have completed. You will have a competitive edge when seeking employment at a Ford/Lincoln dealership.
