Talking About Race
As children see, hear, and experience racial tension happening in our communities, country and throughout the world, it is normal for them to feel lots of different emotions – like fear, confusion, anger, grief, and worry. It's important to make time and space to have these conversations at home and at school, to help students as they navigate the world and their role within it. If you aren't sure how to start talking about race - don't worry! You are not alone. Here are some resources for you and your child, to help guide your conversations. If you or your child need mental health resources or strategies to cope with and manage tough emotions during this time, please visit the other pages on Mrs. Sanchez’ website.
