    Harvest Festival

Saturday October 26 from 2-7 pm but you can help for as long as you can.

Bethany Lutheran Church 1006 Wicker Road SW WA 98284

Family Promise is hosting a community harvest festival that includes games, raffles and costume contests. Volunteers will help kids play at game booths.  All proceeds go to help prevent families from becoming homeless.

    Samish Elementary Harvest Bash

October 25th 5:30-8:30 Samish Elementary School.

Help kids play amazing carnival games at Samish's Harvest Festival.

Please let me know or email: mrsdanorton@gmail.com if interested

    Central Elementary School Tutors

Monday-Friday 2:40-3:40 (If you have a preferred day let me know)

We have two students at Central with limited English, a 3rd grade boy and a 5th grade girl, along with many other students that are qualified ELL. Let me know if you want to help.

We are needing 4 people to consistently do line judging for jv and c volleyball home matches. The responsibility of a line judge is to stand at the end of the service line and rule the balls in or out. I will explain the rules and show how that looks in person, but it is very easy to do at the jv and c level. They would need to arrive at the gym by 5:20 and lasts about 2 hours. Let Mr. Johns know if you are interested.

Mr. Reed needs help with childcare and tutoring for children of parents who are in his English Language Learning Class.  Volunteers are needed each day. It is fine to schedule a consistent time or help out when you can.  Classes start September 24th.

Children of the Valley After School Program

Children of the Valley is a faith-based independent 501c3 that serves 55 low-income children in the Mount Vernon schools who are most in need. This is not a drop-in program. Instead, we provide structured, intentional mentoring and academic support with the help of educated and committed volunteers and trained staff. We continually serve students and their families as they progress through elementary and middle school. COV has been in existence for 12 years and maintains a strong partnership with Mount Vernon School District.
