• A Little Info About Me:

This is my 13th year teaching 6th grade in the SWSD. While currently my tenth at Evergreen,  I taught the first three years at Central Elementary.   I am the 6th grade mathematics teacher. Outside of my teaching day I serve, or have served, on the Math Leadership Team at Evergreen and the Math Assessment Team for the district.  This year I will hopefully join the Math Summit team for the district.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska-Anchorage and a Master's Degree in Education from Walden University.  I love to learn so working as a teacher is a great fit for me, because I get to be a life-long student.  This summer I took a crash course (three days) on the culture and language of our spanish speaking students.  I am learning a little spanish and hope to practice as much as possible this year.  I also attended a two-week intensive math workshop where I learned a lot of new activities I can't wait to use in the classroom.

I am married and have one teenage daughter. I live in Sedro-Woolley, not far from Evergreen. When not at school, I love to spend time with my family, read, watch movies, and take scenic drives to check out new places in the Pacific Northwest.
