AVID is designed to increase school-wide learning and performance. The mission of AVID is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
AVID: Advancement Via Individualized Determination.
AVID is geared toward students that are first-generation college-bound students that have the desire to pursue higher education after high school. AVID takes the place of an elective class during the school day. AVID students participate in tutorials, college visits, Cornell note-taking and Socratic seminars.
