Mary Purcell Elementary
Our Aim Statement: to increase student achievement, and time on task in a safe and positive learning environment.

The staff, students, and community are proud to be working together to provide a safe, supportive, academically challenging environment where we can nurture each child’s emotional, social, and academic growth.

Basic Information About our School:
  • K-6 school, with a highly dedicated staff, consisting of 20 teachers and 14 assistants, with additional support staff, and over 370 students. 
  • Specialists: technology and physical education specialists, as well as special education and English language programs and support.
  • School-Wide Title program which incorporates reading and math interventions into our school day.
  • Collaboration is key at Mary Purcell. Teachers plan between and across grades, aligning curriculum to meet the needs of all students, and reflect the expectations of the Sedro-Woolley School District and the Washington State Essential Learnings. Working together, we all achieve more!
  • School Hours: 9:30-3:30 (Students can enter at 9:00, with before school tutoring available from 8:15-9:00am certain days)
  • We offer half day kindergarten, with two morning classes. A full day program is available for qualifying students with special needs.
