    Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP's) work on a variety of skills with students, including the following:  speech sound development, understanding/expressing language (such as age appropriate concepts/vocabulary, grammar, following directions, etc.), increasing speech fluency, and developing aumentative/alternative modes of communication (such as picture systems or communication devices).
